  • Siyabhabha Trust is the Development and Welfare Agency of the Southern African Catholic Bishops Conference and operates in South Africa, Botswana and Swaziland.
  • Siyabhabha Trust is a network organisation, working towards mitigating against the impact of poverty on the HIV/AIDS pandemic through poverty eradication, development programmes and psychosocial care within the SACBC territories.
  • The network is made up of  autonomous, independent Faith Based Organisations and Diocesan Committees organised at a regional level.
  • Siyabhabha Trust is a service provider and funding conduit for poverty alleviation programmes.
  • Siyabhabha Trust is also known as Caritas South Africa and is part of the Caritas Internationalis network of 162 organisations in 200 countries offering crisis relief in times of natural and man made disasters.
  • Caritas South Africa raises funds for responding to natural and man-made crisis and disasters through Project Caritas as the official emergency campaign of the SACBC.
  • "Caritas" is a Latin word meaning love and compassion.
  •  Siyabhabha Trust helps people help themselves and works at eliminating the root causes of poverty.
  • Siyabhabha Trust  believes that the most marginalised citizens should design, develop and manage their own development programmes based on their unique gifts and resources.
